Policy Dialogue on Nomination, Withdrawal and Substitution of Candidates

The Electoral Forum in line with its core aim of providing solutions to electoral problems in Nigeria held a virtual meeting on Thursday, August 18, 2022, via the zoom platform. The meeting focused on post political primaries, nomination, withdrawal and substitution of candidates. The Dialogue was chaired by the Chairman of The Electoral Forum, Professor Adebayo Olukoshi.

The Objectives of the Policy Dialogue were:

• Unpack the key provisions of the Electoral Act 2022, on the issues of Nomination, Withdrawal and Substitution of Candidates
• Address the issues on Nomination, Withdrawal and Substitution of Candidates
• Deepen knowledge and provide public enlightenment about the Electoral Act
• Provide for recommendations on the nomination, withdrawal, and Substitution of candidates.
